How do I create a practice?
Tap the + button in the top-right of the Dashboard. Give your practice a name, then expand each section — Warm Up, Main, Cool Down — to set the number of sets, run period, and walk period. Save when done.
What's the difference between "Run period" and "Walk period"?
The run period is how long you run during one set. The walk period is how long you walk between sets. The timer alternates between them automatically. Set "Sets" to 0 to disable a section entirely.
Can I have a section with only walking (no running)?
Yes. Set the run period to 0 and the walk period to whatever duration you want. Useful for cool-downs or recovery breaks.
How are distances calculated?
The app uses the run pace and walk pace you configure in Settings (in minutes per kilometer). Distance for each period = duration ÷ pace. Distances are estimates — the app does not use GPS.
Why no GPS tracking?
The app is intentionally simple. It's a timer, not a fitness tracker. If you need GPS-based mileage, pair it with the iOS Workout app, Strava, or your watch.
Can I change the sound?
Yes. Go to Settings → Sound. You can pick Beep (sharp synthesized tones), Chime (softer tones), Voice (spoken countdowns and section names), or Off (silent — haptics still fire). The pre-period countdown can be set to 3, 5, or 10 seconds.
Does the timer keep accurate time when the screen is locked?
Yes. When you lock your phone or switch apps, the timer remembers when it was paused and catches up to the correct interval as soon as you reopen the app.
Where is my data stored?
Everything stays on your device. There's no server, no account, no sync. Your practices and settings live in the app's local storage and disappear if you delete the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.
I deleted the app and reinstalled — my practices are gone.
Because everything is stored locally, deleting the app removes your practices. iCloud Backup will restore them if you had backups enabled when you deleted, but the app does not separately sync to iCloud.
The app icon doesn't appear on my Home Screen.
If you delete and reinstall the app, the icon may take a moment to refresh. Long-press an empty area of the Home Screen and let it re-render. If the issue persists, restart your device.
